Community Development Coordinator
The Town of Digby is seeking a Community Development Coordinator.
The position of Community Development Coordinator is a 2 year contract position with overall responsibility for grant administration, communications, community engagement and marketing and promotions.
The Community Development Coordinator reports directly to the Chief Administrative Officer. The employee in this position must be able to work closely with other municipal staff to understand municipal priorities and develop relationships with external administrators to facilitate the award and reporting of external funding and will assist in the development and implementation of strategic initiatives and priorities of the Town. The Community Development Coordinator must be comfortable working with the public and is expected to work in a team environment; assisting and supporting other employees when possible and as required.
Candidates must have or have the ability to attain a high school diploma or equivalent GED; post-secondary education in the fields of Community Development, Business, Marketing, Communication or Public Relations or a related field with 2-5 years of related experience.
