Notice is hereby given that the Council of the Town of Digby will hold a public hearing concerning the proposed adoption of a new Municipal Planning Strategy and Land Use By-law.
The proposed Municipal Planning Strategy and Land Use By-law will replace the current planning documents which were adopted in 2012.
The Municipal Planning Strategy and Land Use By-law provided the framework for promoting and regulating growth and development within the Town. The planning documents apply to the entire area of the Town of Digby. The draft Municipal Planning Strategy and Land Use By-law have been prepared by the Town’s Planning Advisory Committee.
The plan review process has included a variety of public meetings, workshops, the circulation of draft documents.
The public hearing will afford members of the community an opportunity to address Council on matters relating to the proposed Strategy and By-law. You may also submit written submission prior to the Public Hearing.
A public hearing will be held on August 10, 2026, at 6:00 p.m.
in the Town Council Chambers, 147 First Avenue.
