Curbside Residential Collection is provided within town boundaries on a weekly basis.
Residential Collection Schedule
In lieu of Fall and Spring Cleanup, on each regular garbage collection week, large household items, to a maximum of 1 per residential unit, may be put out for collection, but shall not include white goods( Refrigerators, stoves, washers etc.), hazardous/toxic materials, or construction and demolition materials ( C.& D. waste).
White Goods and C.& D. waste may be picked up by arrangement with Digby Salvage & Disposal or can be taken to Digby Salvage & Disposals C. & D. Site for more information please contact 902-245-2657 located on the Upper Cross Road. (tipping and collection fees apply)
Yard and leaf waste must be bagged and placed curbside for collection by the Public Works Department. Please contact the Public Works Department at 902-245-5906 for arrangements and instructions.

Summer April 1 to October 31: Monday to Friday 8 am to 4 pm; Saturday 8am to 12pm (Closed on Holidays)
Winter:November 1 to March 31: Thursday and Friday 8 am to 4 pm; Saturday 8am to 12pm (Closed on Holidays)
Public Drop Off Fees: Free up to 200 kg
$23 from 200 kg to 400 kg
$100 per ton over 400 kg
Owners/Operators of institutional, commercial, and industrial operations (IC&I) are responsible for their own solid waste collection and disposal.
Arrangements can be made with Digby Salvage and Disposal at 245-2657.
