Town of Digby Launches Affordable Housing Grant Program

The Town of Digby is pleased to announce the launch of its new Affordable Housing Grant Program, under the Housing Accelerator Fund, an initiative designed to encourage the development of housing within our community.

 Mayor Mike Bartlett said the program reflects Council’s commitment to supporting housing solutions that meet the needs of residents today and into the future.

“Access to housing is critical to the sustainability of our community,” said Mayor Bartlett. “This grant program is one of the practical steps we are taking to partner with developers, non-profits, and property owners to increase housing options in the Town of Digby.”

The program will provide financial incentives to eligible projects that create new missing middle housing units (duplex though to low rise apartments, secondary suites or non-residential conversions)  helping reduce barriers to development and encouraging investment in the community.
